Tell us about the vision you had for your day - the vibe, the style and the feel

When I first started planning what our wedding day would look like, I only had a few key things that I really wanted to happen. I wanted our flowers to be epic, I wanted my dress to make me feel like an absolute princess, I wanted our day captured beautifully and I wanted us and our guests to have the best day ever! Being in the wedding industry though it was really hard to knuckle down the style of our day. There's just so many that I am obsessed with!! But I wanted our wedding to be romantic and timeless so I opted for a blush, champagne and white colour palette!

What was the highlight of your day? Share a story with us!

One of the highlights of my day was seeing Matt cry when he saw me at the end of the aisle. I had multiple people asking me in the weeks leading up to our day, whether I thought he would cry. And I would always reply "Oh definitely not!". Not once in 8 years have I seen him cry! So it was really surprising and emotional to see him crying at the end of the aisle. I'll never forget it. A close second would be pulling off surprise fireworks for Matt and our guests in the evening! He was so shocked all he could say was "omg I didn't pay for this!!". We definitely nailed it.

If you could describe your wedding day in 3 words, what would they be?

Oh gosh only three?! Romantic, fun & unforgettable!

What’s your top tip for couples planning their wedding day?

Make your day reflect you as a couple! And only hold onto traditions that you want to. Matt and I don't particularly like cake, so we opted for a gelato cart! We also spent the night before our wedding together! We already live together and felt it would just be too unsettling to spend the night apart, so we didn't! I also didn't throw my bouquet! I just knew I'd be obsessed with it and want to keep it for myself, so I didn't!

We’d love to hear about your experience with Figtree!

Figtree was one of the best decisions we made for our day! The team of the day were the ultimate hype girls! They were just so much fun and we instantly felt comfortable around them. When we got our final gallery we were just amazed! Everything was captured so beautifully and it really took us back to the day. I especially loved seeing all the bits that I didn't get to see during the day. Like our guests emotions as I walked down the aisle, my cousin being our flower boy and the dance floor antics later in the night!
